Celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Spady Museum and the 100th anniversary of the construction of The Spady House, the 2026 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Brunch will be a Silver Jubilee, featuring the talents of CORE Ensemble and a keynote address by guest speaker William "Bill" Nix, reflecting upon his family's personal relationship with Dr. King and King’s ascension to civic leadership via his faith and connections to Morehouse College. Both Dr. King and Nix are Morehouse Men, and Mr. Nix was a pallbearer at Dr. King’s homegoing service.
A signature community event, the Dr. King, Jr. Brunch welcomes more than 300 people from Palm Beach and Broward counties. The 2026 Brunch promises to be a memorable event, recognizing 25 years of “Bringing Community Together Around Black History.”
If you or your business is interested in sponsoring a table, please email the museum at info@spadymuseum.org.
Following the event, Spady Museum will act as the stopping point for Delray Beach’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Walk, welcoming participants to its backyard for entertainment and refreshments.
